Charles Adams began his career in insurance as a liability claim adjuster at Hanover Insurance Company, laying a solid foundation in claims handling. He then advanced through roles of increasing responsibility at American European Group (“AEG”), culminating in the position of Assistant Vice President. At AEG, he was instrumental in building high-performing teams, recruiting, training, and managing the company’s liability claim personnel. He also spearheaded special projects for AEG subsidiaries such as Rutgers Casualty, United National, and Kentucky National, expertly implementing comprehensive insurance programs covering Waste Hauler, Homeowners, General Liability, Commercial Automobile, and Commercial Property lines at Rutgers Casualty.

Building on this success, Charles Adams took on the role of Litigation Management Manager at Harleysville Insurance (Nationwide). In this capacity, he directed claim assessment, negotiation, and investigation processes. Under his leadership, Harleysville’s Litigation Unit effectively managed a substantial portfolio of complex and high-severity commercial and personal lines liability claims, alongside a significant volume of intricate coverage matters. His commitment to developing talent continued as he recruited and trained claim personnel within this role as well.

Charles Adams further honed his expertise at ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb), where he managed a domestic risk management liability team. This team handled claims for ACE’s Fortune 1200 insureds, operating under large deductible and/or self-insured retention programs. Simultaneously, he led a claims team focused on catastrophic casualty claims originating from products manufactured by corporations located internationally. During his tenure at ACE, he also served as a crucial relationship liaison, fostering strong connections between ACE’s insureds, counsel, TPAs, brokers, and underwriters. His responsibilities extended across multiple states, as he was licensed to handle and supervise claims in numerous jurisdictions.

Adding to his distinguished profile, Attorney Adams proudly served in the United States Army. As a paralegal within the Judge Advocate General’s Office, he gained valuable legal experience reviewing Courts-Martial evidence, drafting charges and pleadings, preparing Article 15 documentation, and providing instruction to Commanders on key aspects of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Academically, Charles Adams holds a B.A. in Business from Stockton University, an M.B.A. from Eastern University, and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. He has further distinguished himself by earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation with a Commercial Insurance Concentration from The Institutes in Malvern, Pennsylvania, demonstrating his deep commitment to insurance industry expertise. He is a sought-after speaker on critical topics impacting the insurance industry, including risk transfer strategies, construction defect litigation trends, and transportation-related legal developments, particularly concerning EDR and EOBR technology.
